Why I write blog articles!
I’ve been asked two questions once a week for a while now: “Why do you run your blog?” and “Do you write all the posts yourself?”. While the second question is answered quickly and easily, I always have to elaborate a little on the first question. So here are a few lines about it.

Out of interest in the matter
I came to blogging like a virgin to a child, so to speak. Last week I stumbled across an old interview that I was allowed to give at a TYPO3 event. It actually answers the question perfectly as to why I’m doing this with the blog (sorry for the bad English):
Hey!
I had my first “hey moment” with the blog when I was greeted by a customer at a proposal presentation with the words “Yes, I know you, I read your blog”. I suspected that writing articles could also be beneficial for our business and for me personally. Gradually, such experiences became almost standard.
However, I find the many interactions with people who want to promote change and digitalization much more exciting. This has resulted in countless exciting encounters and fruitful discussions. I can only say thank you. Ultimately, it is these experiences that have kept me writing over the years.
Committed to the cause
However, I also quickly realized that I had to remain as objective and factual as possible in order to have a serious discussion. Not a day goes by without me receiving invitations, free access and very specific offers for paid contributions. I believe the only way to remain credible, especially as an influencer in the business environment, is not to accept such offers. If I think something or someone is good, then I write about it. But on my own initiative.
Temporarily quieter
Recently, I’ve often been asked why I’m writing less. Whether I’ve run out of topics or lost interest. The reason is much simpler: I’m in the process of achieving a turnaround with our teams in the two start-ups I founded. We are about to achieve this with one of them and I am no longer involved operationally thanks to a great team. At the other, Parashift, we are in projects with our first important customers and will be launching our standard product in the next few months. This is currently taking up all my waking hours. I think that in the next few months I will be able to report more about what we have done, what the challenges, successes and failures were and are. If that interests you…
