Agencies of this world: The TYPO3 Neos team needs more help!

A few days ago, Rasmus Skjoldan posted the appeal“Agencies of the world: the neos team needs more help” on his blog. In consultation with him, I have put together a short abstract with the most important points in German. Here we go:

Many people contribute considerable working time to TYPO3 Neos. Rasmus and his colleague Aske, for example, commit 10 hours per week to bring TYPO3 Neos to the next level. This time is paid by their employer, MOC.

Call to the agencies
The TYPO3 Neos team needs more support to advance the product fast enough to make it the great CMS platform that agencies need to continue providing solutions to their clients in the future. There are many ways to help. The Neos team needs input in documentation, reviews, testing, marketing, with the Neos website, social, evanglizing and of course coding/development. Regardless of the area, it is crucial that the people are highly qualified and can provide their help regularly and consistently.

How does the MOC work?
Quite simply, they have booked seniors part-time on the Neos project. These people are responsible for planning, communication, design & UX, release management and a lot of development. Neos is therefore basically planned as a customer project and treated with the same consistency and constancy. Both the MOC agency and Neos benefit from this. Neos because constant cooperation and experienced help is available, MOC because they can get to know the product very well and help develop it.

There is already a lot of support. Other agencies and freelancers are investing huge amounts of time and energy in rapid development and even helping customers by co-financing Core Developers. This is a great development.

Nevertheless, the Neos team is happy to have any qualified and constant additional staff. It would be great if other agencies could join in using this model. It will pay off. For the Neos product, but also for the agencies.

Where to start?
It’s simple: just send Rasmus or me an email and we’ll take care of it. Rasmus and MOC are happy to help you get started.
